Our Vision - With dignity, justice, equality and love, providing relief from poverty for children and families in Zimbabwe, and care of their environment
Recently we saw a need for school gardens to be created, for children who have nothing to eat all day, until they walk home from school. Climate change has resulted in severe drought conditions. The children are often too tired to learn, and miss a lot of school due to poor health.
We have raised enough funds for Makwa Primary school to provide porridge 3 times a week to 250 children. We need another £100 a month total in Direct Debits, so they are fed 5 days a week please. £10 a month feeds 10 children. We set up a school garden for them in February 2025.
In July 2025 , thanks to the Big Give and many donations, we provided a school garden for Mwemba school, complete with a bore hole, solar panels, pump and all the equipment needed for irrigation. This will enable the children to grow their own vegetables and fruit to eat. We also want to provide maize and moringa seed to supplement their diet, for 240 children there.
With your help, the children will gain better grades, improve their health and concentration, and the teachers will be able to carry out their work more effectively.
