Children and Families in Need in Zimbabwe, known as CFNZ is a UK charity, based in Anglesey. We welcome support of any kind, and your prayers please. If you would like to get involved in fund raising , do let us know. The details are on the 'Contact' page.
Apart from bank charges and postal expenses, all of the money raised goes to Fr. Tim Peacock for his work with the poor in rural areas of Zimbabwe. He lives in Hwange and has with another priest, Fr Stanisluas, 24 Out-centres.
CFNZ became a registered charity in May 2014, to further promote the work Fr. Tim Peacock does, and in order to Gift Aid as many donations as possible.
It operates in Zimbabwe in the rural parishes where Fr. Tim Peacock is a secular Roman Catholic parish priest. He was born in the UK, went to a seminary in Ireland, had priestly duties in Iceland before taking the post in Hwange, Zimbabwe in 1985.
His sister Sue Jennings, the lead trustee, sends out his newsletter twice a year, by post or email. See 'Contact' page
The work of the charity is to supply funds for :
Education and training; the advancement of health and relief of poverty; religious activities; economic, community development and employment, for all ages, within the general public.
At present, 39 vulnerable children receive an education, accommodation and food; up to 6 people are taken to hospital or clinics each week; 36 families receive food aid; fuel, domestic wages and building projects make up the rest of the budget.
